How to Add a Person as Manager to Your Google Business Profile (GBP)

There are two ways to access your Google Business Profile

#1 – Log in to the gmail account that is associated as Primary Owner or Owner of the GBP.   At the top right corner of your gmail account there are 9 little dots.

Now click on the dots and find the Blue Business profile icon.

Next select People and access

Now select that +Sign to add coastalclicksseo@gmail.com as Manager
(Owner is better as you remain Primary Owner but this allows us to let me assign task to our team members) plus sign to add
Finish adding us as either Manager or Owner depending on the service you are requesting.

#2 As described Google: Here’s how to add a manager to your Google Business Profile:

  1. Access your Business Profile: You can find your profile by searching for your business name on Google Maps or Search. Once you find it, click on it to access your profile.

  2. Go to Settings: Look for the menu icon (usually three dots) and click on it. Then, select “Business Profile settings”.

  3. Manage Users: Within the settings, you’ll find a section for “People and access” or “Managers”. Click on that section.

  4. Invite a Manager: Click the “Add” button and enter the email address of the person you want to designate as a manager.

  5. Assign Permissions: Choose “Manager” from the access options. Note: You can also choose “Owner” if you want to give them full access to manage the profile.

  6. Send Invite: Once you’ve selected their access level, click “Invite” to send them an invitation. They will receive an email notification to accept the invitation and become a manager of your Business Profile.

Here are some additional things to keep in mind:

  • Only the owner (or primary owner) of the Business Profile can add or remove managers.
  • The person you invite must have a Google account to become a manager.
  • You can change a manager’s access level later by going back to the “People and access” section and selecting their name.
